Senior Pricing Actuary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Actuary to join our Pricing - P&C International team in Cologne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a staff member and contributing to the development of pricing tools and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement pricing strategies for international treaty business in property and casualty insurance
- Organize pricing reviews and develop the pricing control framework, ensuring compliance with guidelines and training
- Contribute to the conceptual and technical development of new and improvement of existing property and casualty pricing tools
- Support the conception and design of performance metrics and their connection to pricing tools
- Support quantitative risk management, including the determination of target margins and the further development of underlying capital models
- Pricing for complex reinsurance structures and supporting local underwriters in this task
- Contribute to the use and implementation of AI in Gen Re's own pricing and performance measurement applications
- Degree in mathematics/statistics or a similar subject
- At least 5 years of professional experience in (re)insurance, preferably in pricing in property and casualty insurance, with a completed actuarial training at a recognized association
- Very good knowledge of Excel and proven experience with programming languages such as R or Python
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German desirable
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Team player with an affinity for sustainable networking and an eye for detail, who also achieves excellent results independently and actively seeks improvements to current processes
