About the Role

As a Senior Pricing Actuary at Gen Re, you will lead a team and report to the Head of P&C International Pricing. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing pricing strategies for international treaty business in property and casualty insurance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading the organization of pricing reviews, developing and applying the pricing control framework, and ensuring compliance with guidelines and training.
  • Contributing to the development of new and improvement of existing property and casualty pricing tools, including pricing methodologies and benchmark models.
  • Supporting the conception and design of performance metrics and their connection to pricing tools.
  • Supporting quantitative risk management, including the determination of target margins and the further development of underlying capital models.
  • Pricing complex reinsurance structures and supporting local underwriters in this task.
  • Contributing to the use and implementation of AI in Gen Re's own pricing and performance measurement applications.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pricing Actuary with:

  • A degree in mathematics or statistics, or a similar subject.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in (re)insurance, preferably in pricing in property and casualty insurance, with a completed actuarial training at a recognized association.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and proven experience with programming languages such as R or Python.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of German desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player with an affinity for sustainable networking and an eye for detail, who achieves excellent results independently and actively seeks improvements to current processes.
