Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the restructured team in Düsseldorf focused on Liquidity Risk, managing the liquidity risk processes for the Uniper group's commodity positions.
  • Collaborate across departments to establish and execute a robust liquidity risk governance framework.
  • Enhance understanding and modeling of liquidity risks across the portfolio to accurately quantify capital requirements and associated costs.
  • Actively participate in the company-wide liquidity planning process, incorporating a risk perspective.
  • Monitor liquidity risks for the Uniper group, effectively communicating and clarifying these risks to various stakeholders.
  • Engage with multiple committees, providing strategic advice on decision-making within Uniper's risk management community and other governance bodies.

Candidate Profile

  • A degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Risk/Liquidity management or Treasury within an investment banking or energy trading environment.
  • Strong background in quantitative risk methodologies, stress testing, and the development of risk frameworks.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams, with project management experience.
  • A strong team player with experience in international and multicultural settings, capable of fostering positive working relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously, form independent judgments, provide insights, and drive organizational change.
  • Proactive with excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, adept at building remote relationships.
