Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the restructured team in Düsseldorf focused on Liquidity Risk, managing the liquidity risk framework for the Uniper group's commodity positions.
  • Collaborate across departments to establish and enforce a robust liquidity risk governance structure.
  • Enhance the understanding and modeling of liquidity risks within the portfolio to accurately assess capital requirements and related costs.
  • Actively participate in the company-wide liquidity planning process, integrating risk perspectives.
  • Oversee liquidity risks for the Uniper group, effectively communicating these risks to various stakeholders.
  • Engage with different committees, providing strategic advice on decision-making within Uniper's risk management and governance frameworks.

Candidate Profile

  • A degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Risk or Liquidity management, preferably within an investment banking or energy trading context.
  • Strong background in quantitative risk methodologies, stress testing, and the development of risk frameworks.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • A team-oriented individual with experience in international and multicultural environments, capable of building strong relationships.
  • Self-sufficient, with the ability to form independent judgments, provide insights, and drive organizational change.
  • Proactive with exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, adept at fostering remote relationships.
