Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the newly organized team in Düsseldorf focused on Liquidity Risk, overseeing the liquidity risk management for the Uniper group's commodity positions.
  • Collaborate across various departments to create and execute a robust liquidity risk governance framework.
  • Enhance the understanding and modeling of liquidity risks throughout the portfolio to accurately assess capital requirements and related costs.
  • Actively participate in the company-wide liquidity planning process, incorporating risk perspectives.
  • Monitor liquidity risks for the Uniper group, providing insights and explanations to diverse stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate within various committees and offer strategic advice on decision-making within Uniper's risk management community and other governance entities.

Candidate Profile

  • A degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Risk/Liquidity management or Treasury, preferably within an investment banking or energy trading context.
  • Proven proficiency in quantitative risk methodologies, stress testing, and risk framework development.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and collaborate within cross-functional teams and manage projects effectively.
  • A strong team player with experience in international and multicultural environments, capable of fostering positive working relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously, forming independent judgments and providing valuable insights to drive change.
  • Proactive with excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, adept at building remote relationships.
