Automotive Solutions Engineer

About the Role

As a key member of the MCU tools and Ecosystem team at Renesas Electronics, you will play a crucial role in the development and production of new evaluation and solution boards for the automotive MCU series. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining new solution boards, collaborating with customer engineering teams, and working closely with Renesas application engineering, marketing, and tool supply teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a global team member to create new Renesas automotive solutions.
  • Collaborate internally with Application Engineers and Product Marketers, and externally with customers and partners to develop system demonstrators combining software and hardware, including documentation.
  • Provide applications' training to FAE, Sales, Distributors, and customers.
  • Present Renesas' technologies, products, and applications in technical seminars.
  • Manage the development and production of solutions.
Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study.
  • Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
  • Understanding of automotive system technical requirements and the ability to propose optimized products and solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, development tools, and ecosystems.
  • Good understanding of schematics, layouts, and digital components.
  • Motivation to initiate and drive projects to completion, with an open mind for working in an international environment.
  • Good sense of understanding technical requirements and customer expectations.
  • Basic knowledge of development and manufacturing costs for commercial evaluation of the best system solution to propose to customers.
  • Leadership skills to set direction for the development of projects and the ability to negotiate optimal solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and English skills.
  • Creativity and team spirit.
