Industrialization and Scaling Director

As a seasoned leader at tozero, you will play a pivotal role in driving the transition from prototype to industrial-scale production, focusing on the operational implementation of scalable processes from semi-industrial to commercial plants. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring we effectively scale our technology from pilot to industrial levels, enabling us to meet market demands efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Industrialization Efforts: Oversee the transition of our recycling technology (hydrometallurgy / chemical processes) from prototype to full-scale production, ensuring seamless implementation and operational efficiency
- Team Leadership: Manage a diverse team of experts in automation, instrumentation and control engineering, process engineering, and prototyping, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve ambitious goals
- Develop Scalable Processes: Design and implement scalable processes that maintain high-quality standards while maximizing production efficiency in our commercial plants
- Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to integrate new technologies and processes into existing workflows, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives
- Ensure Compliance and Safety: Uphold industry regulations and safety standards throughout the scaling process, promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence
- Proven Experience: 7+ years in industrialization or operations within the chemical or manufacturing industries, with a focus on hydrometallurgy preferred
- Scaled Chemical Processes: Experience in scaling chemical processes from prototype to commercial scale and setting up plants before
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of industrial processes, particularly in the context of recycling technologies / chemical processes
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively, driving projects to completion while nurturing a collaborative team culture
- Passion for Sustainability: A genuine commitment to advancing sustainable practices within the recycling industry
