Quantum Optimal Control Specialist

Your Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where we are developing innovative methods to investigate key mechanisms in batteries and electrolysis using pulsed NMR. The successful candidate will work on implementing state-of-the-art quantum control algorithms in the Python library JuMPO, which is currently being developed at our institute.

Your Tasks:
  • Implementing quantum control algorithms in JuMPO and incorporating them into the library
  • Experimental validation of pulses optimized with these algorithms
  • Benchmarking pulse optimization performances
  • Exchange with experimental NMR spectroscopists
Your Profile:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in chemistry, physics, data science, or computer science, with knowledge on the fundamentals of NMR spectroscopy and experience in Python programming. Expertise on the fundamentals of electrochemistry and spin dynamics is desirable. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in interdisciplinary research projects and the ability to work in a cooperative manner.
