Quantum Optimal Control Specialist for Electrochemical NMR Applications

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at Forschungszentrum Jülich. As a Quantum Optimal Control Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing cutting-edge quantum optimal control algorithms for electrochemical NMR applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement state-of-the-art quantum control algorithms in Python and integrate them into the JuMPO library
  • Collaborate with experimental NMR spectroscopists to validate optimized pulses
  • Benchmark pulse optimization performances and optimize algorithms for improved results
  • Exchange ideas and knowledge with colleagues from various disciplines

Requirements:

  • Ongoing master studies in chemistry, physics, data science, computer science, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of NMR spectroscopy fundamentals
  • Experience with Python programming and familiarity with JuMPO
  • Desirable: expertise in electrochemistry and spin dynamics
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English
