Crypto Finance AG is a prominent player in the digital asset sector, operating under the supervision of FINMA and part of the Deutsche Börse Group. We offer a comprehensive suite of professional digital asset services tailored for institutional clients, including brokerage, custody, staking, and tokenization solutions. Our firm is recognized for pioneering efforts in the crypto space, including the management of the first Swiss crypto fund.
As a Senior Risk Management Officer, you will report directly to the Managing Director of Crypto Finance Deutschland. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and oversee a robust risk management framework that complies with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the organization, its personnel, stakeholders, assets, and operations.
- Formulate strategies and policies to establish a comprehensive framework, tools, procedures, and internal control standards for effective risk management.
- Supervise and evaluate the organization's enterprise risk management initiatives.
- Coordinate regular risk and control assessments, enhance risk control structures, address vulnerabilities, and prepare reports for senior management.
- Conduct independent risk evaluations and analyses to identify potential risks related to products, operations, technology, or security.
- Manage risk-related projects and collaborate closely with various business functions.
- Provide guidance to senior management on specific risk scenarios and recommend appropriate actions.
- Oversee loss event reporting, incident documentation, and root cause investigations.
- Exhibit leadership qualities to foster a risk-aware culture and motivate staff to embrace new risk management practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in finance, economics, or a technology-related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in a similar role within Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Controlling.
- Experience in the cryptocurrency or trading sectors is advantageous.
- Knowledge of compliance and German financial market regulations is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to finding solutions.
- A dynamic individual with an innovative mindset, positive attitude, and excellent motivational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
