Position Overview

As a Senior Risk Management Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping and overseeing a robust risk management framework that aligns with regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your expertise will be essential in safeguarding the organization’s interests and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and mitigate risks affecting the organization, its personnel, stakeholders, and operational integrity.
  • Formulate and implement strategies and policies that establish comprehensive frameworks, tools, and procedures for effective risk management.
  • Supervise and evaluate the organization’s enterprise risk management initiatives.
  • Coordinate regular risk assessments and enhance risk control mechanisms, addressing vulnerabilities and reporting findings to senior leadership.
  • Conduct independent analyses to identify and evaluate potential risks associated with products, operations, technology, or security.
  • Manage risk-related projects and collaborate closely with various business units.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior management regarding risk scenarios and appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the reporting of loss events and incidents, including root cause investigations.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness and lead initiatives to train and motivate staff in adopting effective risk management practices.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in finance, economics, or a technology-related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Controlling.
  • Familiarity with the crypto sector and trading is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of compliance and German financial market regulations is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to implementation.
  • A dynamic individual with an innovative mindset and a positive outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an asset.
