As a Senior Risk Management Officer, you will be pivotal in shaping our risk management framework. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your primary focus will be on establishing a robust risk management system that complies with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess risks impacting the organization, its personnel, stakeholders, and operations.
  • Formulate and implement strategies and policies that create a solid framework, including tools, procedures, and internal controls for effective risk management.
  • Oversee and evaluate the enterprise risk management initiatives within the organization.
  • Coordinate regular risk assessments and control evaluations, enhancing risk control structures and addressing any identified weaknesses.
  • Conduct independent risk evaluations and analyses to mitigate potential risks associated with products, operations, technology, or security.
  • Manage risk-related projects in collaboration with various business functions.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior management regarding risk scenarios and recommended actions.
  • Oversee loss event reporting, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Foster a risk-aware culture within the organization and mentor staff on new risk management practices.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Controlling.
  • Experience in the cryptocurrency or trading sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with compliance and German financial market regulations is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to solutions and a structured implementation process.
  • A dynamic individual with an innovative mindset, positive attitude, and excellent motivational abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
