Position Description

We're seeking a skilled Development Engineer to join our core R&D team at QIAGEN. Based at our headquarters in Hilden, you'll work closely with a team of development engineers focused on designing and developing laboratory disposables for our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement innovative plastic assemblies with external partners

Document the development of plastic assemblies, adhering to IVD standards

Advance technology for laboratory disposables, exploring new possibilities and patent opportunities

Design and develop microfluidic systems for laboratory applications

Implement new testing and analysis systems for complex plastic articles

Position Requirements

At least 3 years' experience in developing complex plastic assemblies, preferably in medical technology or diagnostics

Strong analytical skills and experience with statistics and test planning

Innovative mindset and ability to drive technological advancements

Ability to work independently and take on laboratory and workshop tasks

Experience in supplier and partner management

Fluent English and German, written and spoken, essential
