Position Description
We're seeking a skilled Development Engineer to join our core R&D team at QIAGEN. Based at our headquarters in Hilden, Germany, you'll work closely with our team of development engineers to design and develop laboratory disposables for our products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop plastic assemblies with external partners
• Document the development of plastic assemblies, adhering to IVD standards
• Conduct technology research and feasibility studies for laboratory disposables
• Develop innovative microfluidic systems for laboratory applications
• Implement new testing and analysis systems for complex plastic articles
Position Requirements:
• At least 3 years' experience in developing complex plastic assemblies, preferably for medical technology or diagnostics
• Strong analytical skills and experience with statistics and test planning
• Innovative personality with a track record of driving technological developments
• Ability to work independently and take on laboratory and workshop tasks
• Strong experience in supplier and partner management
• Fluent English and German, written and spoken
