Development Engineer for Laboratory Disposables

Position Description
We're seeking a talented Development Engineer to join our core R&D team at QIAGEN. Based at our headquarters in Hilden, you'll work closely with a team of development engineers focused on designing and developing laboratory disposables for our products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop plastic assemblies with external partners, ensuring high-quality and regulatory compliance.
• Document development processes, including IVD standards, to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Drive technology research and development for laboratory disposables, exploring new materials and manufacturing techniques.
• Design and develop innovative microfluidic systems for laboratory applications, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
• Implement new testing and analysis systems for complex plastic articles, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Position Requirements:
• At least 3 years' experience in developing complex plastic assemblies, preferably in medical technology or diagnostics.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in statistics and test planning.
• Innovative mindset, with a willingness to break new ground and drive technological advancements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong focus on supplier and partner management.
• Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
