The company's mission is to provide a comprehensive and expanding array of road trip possibilities, including short-term RV rentals, long-term campervan subscriptions, and the possibility of buying one of their vehicles available for sale. With over one million nights rented through their travel platform, they have welcomed more than 300,000 travelers from 169 countries.

The Role

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to join Indie Campers' team in Hamburg and gain hands-on experience in the front-office and back-office activities of the campervan rental business. As a Campervan Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-Office Activities:
  • Customer Service: Take care of check-ins and check-outs, register guests, process payments, explain campervan functionalities, terms and conditions, upsell road trip extras.
  • Back-Office Activities:
  • Operations Handling: Align the reservations with the available campervans, verify and prepare campers and road trip extras and kits.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the campervans in top condition, identify and act on possible maintenance or repair needs.
  • Support Activities: Support the team in monitoring the existing stock, coordinating the fleet of campervans, troubleshooting operational issues.

Requirements

  • You are a student or recent graduate in Hospitality, Tourism, International Studies, Business Administration or a related field looking for an internship;
  • You are fluent in English, have a work permit and a valid driver's licence (mandatory);
  • You like international environments and meeting new cultures;
  • You possess a natural talent for connecting with people and have a strong customer service orientation;
  • You have a problem-solving mindset, thriving to create solutions and feeling comfortable with getting your hands dirty;

Compensation and Benefits

The internship is compensated, with the amount depending on location, country, and region (accommodation is not included). Online and on-the-job training will be provided to develop relevant skills such as guest relations, customer service, problem-solving, communication, team spirit, organization, time management, fleet coordination, supplies management and logistics. There are also international opportunities and the possibility of integration in Indie Campers after the internship.
