Internship Opportunity
We are looking for a talented intern to support our Division Hydro as a Turbine Simulation Engineer. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of innovative technologies that drive the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, execute, and evaluate numerical flow simulations (CFD) for hydraulic turbines.
- Support the selection of meshing strategies, numerical modeling, and automation of post-processing.
- Analyze turbine characteristics across different operating ranges and compare numerical results with measurement data.
- Collaborate with experts from simulation, measurement technology, hydraulic design, and strength calculation.
Requirements
- Enrolled student in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
- Basic knowledge of computational fluid dynamics.
- Knowledge of Ansys CFX and a programming language is an advantage.
- Good command of written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage.
