Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to oversee the production of technical data for one of our civil helicopter programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production process from start to finish, ensuring that all technical data is accurate, complete, and meets the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the production of technical data, including instructions for continuing airworthiness, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement production plans, including master planning and tactical planning, to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
- Negotiate and align with internal stakeholders, including Chief Engineering and Programs, to ensure that production plans are aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze production performance, including flow, blocked, bottlenecks, and performance issues, to identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to workload and capacity analysis with the Head of Metier to ensure that production plans are aligned with business needs.
- Lead production management routines, including production monitoring, analysis, and reporting, to ensure that production plans are executed effectively.
- Monitor and improve unit costs, identify opportunities to improve products and processes, and ensure adherence to make-or-buy strategies.
- Ensure safety, ethics, and export control compliance in the production flow.
- Contribute to the development of production tools and lead problem-solving processes related to planning and workload/capa issues.
- Validate work unit requests for external partners and provide regular forecast updates.
- Provide and maintain technical data daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in design office or technical data management.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical thinking.
- Experience with planning, initiating, executing, and closing projects.
- Experience in coordinating a multinational team.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets to produce graphs and tables on a regular basis.
- English is a must, German would be a plus.
Location:
Our Donauwörth site is located on the banks of the river Danube, where we develop helicopters from initial idea to airworthy product.
