Procurement Excellence Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Excellence Leader to join our team at ALTANA Management Services GmbH. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the methodical, strategic, and systemic development of our procurement organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a global category management process in a matrix organization, collaborating with the global procurement community to drive excellence.
  • Lead a team of 6 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our procurement initiatives.
  • Optimize, digitize, and automate procurement processes to increase efficiency and drive business growth.
  • Establish and maintain a robust supplier management program, focusing on supply risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement a risk management strategy for procurement, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the ALTANA forecast for the global raw materials portfolio.
  • Design and deliver procurement training programs to ensure our team has the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Develop and implement a procurement engineering strategy, including global sourcing, value chain engineering, and market and supplier analyses.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in procurement leadership, with a strong track record of driving business growth and excellence.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Experience with category management, supplier management, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of procurement engineering, global sourcing, and value chain engineering.
