Position Overview:
We are seeking a Procurement Specialist (m/w/d) for our Air Treatment Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute innovative procurement strategies that align with Ingersoll Rand's sourcing objectives for direct materials.
- Identify and engage with high-performing suppliers to deliver optimal value.
- Oversee a portfolio of suppliers for direct materials.
- Negotiate contracts and source commodities effectively.
- Lead negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms while adhering to Ingersoll Rand's standards in contractual agreements.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with strategic suppliers, while actively seeking new top-tier vendors.
- Prepare procurement reports and key performance indicators, conducting cost analyses and supplier benchmarks.
- Manage supplier escalations related to on-time delivery, capacity, pricing, and compliance issues.
- Develop risk management strategies for suppliers based on thorough risk assessments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers regarding cost, quality, delivery, service, flexibility, innovation, and compliance.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance regularly.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Logistics, Material Planning, Finance, Engineering, and global procurement professionals.
- Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Receiving to resolve any invoicing and receiving discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the industrial sector at a managerial or senior buyer level.
- A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Expertise in contracting, pricing, and supply chain strategies.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and operational excellence principles.
- Proven ability to collaborate with outsourced manufacturing suppliers and procurement teams to resolve issues, implement quality processes, and conduct effective cost analyses.
- Successful track record in supplier management, cost reduction, and inventory oversight.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong foundation in procurement-related technical knowledge.
- Proficient in strategic sourcing processes and supplier relationship management.
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks in a dynamic business environment.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to foster strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch, German, or Italian is a plus.
