About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled US Gas & Power Analyst to join our Trading Analysis & Algorithms department in Hamburg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting commercially relevant fundamental and quantitative analysis to support traders and develop proprietary trading strategies for the US natural gas and power markets.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the US natural gas and power markets, identifying key drivers and regime shifts, and develop price views and sensitivity analyses.
- Develop and maintain fundamental and statistical markets models, working closely with other trading analysts and supporting functions.
- Play an active role in further developing and automating routines, procedures, and applications for analysis-related information and data.
- Lead and mentor junior analysts and working students, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Contribute to the commercial success of BU Trading, working closely with the trading desks and other departments to provide market insights and commercial decision support.
Your Profile
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong academic background and a proven track record in US natural gas and power markets analysis. You should have excellent analytical and programming skills, with experience in fundamental and quantitative models for the US natural gas and power markets. Fluency in English is essential, with German language skills an advantage.
