Project Manager EMEA Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Engineering & Technology team in the Industry & Water segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing major investment projects, leading and managing project teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project management within the Industry & Water segment according to Kemira's guidelines, standards, and procedures.
  • Planning and implementation of major investment projects.
  • Leading, managing, and delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and fit for purpose.
  • Managing internal and external project team members, including contractors.
  • Delivering feasibility studies and plant design concepts for strategic projects.
  • Optimizing and improving process steps and plants related to EHSQ principles.
  • Being the interface for all project-related stakeholders and maintaining trustful relationships.
  • Project controlling, reporting, and claim management.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, EICA, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional experience (> 10 years) in the chemical and/or process industry.
  • Proven track record demonstrating project management experience (> 7 years) in planning and construction of plants.
  • Very good analytical skills and the ability to manage extensive planning environments and schedules successfully.
  • Good understanding and frequent user of related IT systems, such as SAP, CAD/CAE-Tools, MS Office, and MS Project.
  • Very good communication and cooperation skills cross-functional and within the team.
  • Excellent English skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel according to project demands within EMEA, potentially including periods of temporary settlement at the project site.
