City Manager

As the City Head, you will lead Just Eat Takeaway's growth and success in top cities in Germany. You will shape and drive city-specific strategies to deliver an unparalleled end-to-end customer and partner experience, aligned with Just Eat Takeaway Germany goals. You will expand our footprint in these major cities, working across departments and leading a 'city squad' of individual SMEs. Supported by the global organization at the national and global levels, you will focus on both strategy and execution. Build, and deliver an ambitious roadmap of initiatives. In the role you will foster continuous innovation and challenge the status quo to achieve impactful results.
You will be responsible for developing and owning the strategic vision for your city, maximizing market penetration, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You will oversee day-to-day business management and operations, executing strategies with solutions that are specific, granular, and scalable. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including restaurant partners, delivery personnel, local authorities, and customers.
Key responsibilities- Develop and own the strategic vision for your city
- Maximize market penetration, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency
- Oversee day-to-day business management and operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Track and analyze KPIs and SLAs to measure the success of initiatives and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and manage budgets, steer financial performance
- Prepare and present reports on project status, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior management and stakeholders as needed
- Drive innovation initiatives and identify growth opportunities to keep Just Eat Takeaway at the forefront of the food delivery market
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Ensure all operations and projects comply with relevant regulations, policies, and standards
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in complex urban environments
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams
- Strong documentation and presentation skills; experience presenting to diverse audiences and ensuring alignment, informed decision-making at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
- Ability to travel frequently between key cities in Germany
- P&L management experience
- Experience with digital platforms and technology-driven logistics solutions
- Knowledge of the German food delivery and quick commerce market and customer behavior trends
