International Sales Manager

Penguin Random House LLC is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our International Sales team in Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for selling our complete Random House and Penguin US lists, as well as our distribution clients within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies for specific titles and budget goals to grow our market share and account base in the region.
- Account Management: Manage daily communication with accounts on a wide variety of customer issues, including orders, inventory, and local on-sale-dates and prices.
- Marketing Planning: Prepare marketing plans with customers on key titles and manage title submissions.
- Event Coordination: Coordinate author events with publicists and local distributors.
- Publication Strategy: Suggest publication strategies including specialized formats and printings.
- International Sales Experience: Proven experience in international sales, with knowledge of the German-speaking book trade.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and German.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel internationally and locally by train or plane to conferences and to visit accounts, as needed.
