Sales Director Job Description

As a Sales Director at Wacker Neuson USA, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of sales business plans. You will manage and lead the development of all pillars of distribution within your assigned territory to meet your goals and objectives. Your key responsibilities will include prospecting new distribution across all pillars of distribution to optimize the district's performance and balance out the portfolio's market penetration. You will also identify deficiencies in all areas of distribution, create a plan, and market campaign to address those deficiencies efficiently using all available resources. Additionally, you will participate in local and national trade shows, develop a working knowledge of the competition and their ongoing sales strategies, and provide financial guidance where needed to assist the distribution's position in their market. You will also develop equipment quotes and provide financial programs offered, and deploy and maintain programs such as pricing, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, and customer incentive/rebate programs. Furthermore, you will work with product managers and engineering on product development and enhancement, maintain current knowledge on all Wacker Neuson Product lines, and maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed. You will also perform all job functions in a safe manner and maintain safety awareness, and report known accidents, injuries, and unsafe practices and/or conditions to your supervisor at the first given opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales Management, Marketing, or a similar program, and 5+ years of experience in a sales role. You will also have flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required, and knowledge of Wacker Neuson equipment, its applications, and markets. You will also have a basic understanding of competitive equipment and competitor's market tactics, and strong business acumen in terms of understanding of business concept and marketplace functions of Distribution Dealers, Rental Dealers, and End Users in the construction industry. You will also have excellent communication skills in the area of communicating well-formulated value propositions that competently combines our company strategy aligning our offering with distributions goals both economic and product centric. You will also have excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills, strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, and proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Finally, you will have the ability to travel up to 75% of the time and a valid driver's license.
