Sustainable Energy Program Intern

At GIZ, we are committed to supporting sustainable development cooperation. As an intern in our team, you will have the opportunity to gain insights into the daily work of a donor-funded program and deepen your knowledge on sustainable energy markets.
The program is part of the European multi-donor platform and has a focus on Sub-Sahara Africa, as well as activities in the Caribbean and the Pacific. We support all relevant clean energy technologies and business models, assisting project developers and companies towards bankability and linking them with financiers.
As an intern, you will support our day-to-day business with a varied portfolio of tasks, including:
- Supporting our advisors with research, preparing presentations and documents
- Interacting with industry associations, partners and consultants to work on events and publications
- Working with databases, for instance our funding database, image library or website backend
- Supporting with social media activities and smaller design tasks
- Supporting monitoring and reporting processes incl. editing, data management, etc.
- Assisting with administrative tasks, for example taking organising meetings, taking minutes, etc.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is interested in sustainable development cooperation and has excellent communication skills. You should have a strong attention to detail, be reliable, creative and self-starting, and have very good time management and flexibility.
Please note that you are only allowed to apply for this internship if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.
We pay a monthly stipend of €2.134,52 (gross).
