Job Description:Project Overview:
The Continental Energy Programme in Africa (CEPA) Technical Assistance project aims to deliver high-level technical assistance and policy advice at the country, regional, and continental levels. The project will support committed countries and partners to reach the objectives for the development and implementation of 3 Pan-African energy programmes: AfSEM, CMP, and AfEES.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement energy policies and strategies to promote sustainable energy development in Africa.
- Provide technical assistance and policy advice to African countries and regional organizations to support the development and implementation of energy programmes.
- Collaborate with international organizations, governments, and private sector entities to promote energy cooperation and development in Africa.
- Conduct research and analysis on energy issues and develop reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in economics, regulation, law, business administration, political science, public administration, engineering, or a relevant field.
- At least 12 years of professional experience in the field of energy, with at least 7 years of experience related to the policy and regulatory framework of the energy sector.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work in a team and collaborate with international stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
The position is based in Germany, with the possibility of working in Brussels or one of the African Union member states. The contract will be for 48 months, with an estimated input of 880 working person-days.
