About the Role

We are seeking a Customer Data Governance Specialist to join our team at BASF Services Europe GmbH. As a key member of our Agricultural Solutions division, you will be responsible for improving data processes and structures to achieve a desired future state.

Key responsibilities include developing and supporting new data processes in MDM, CRM, CSP, and others, creating data validation rules, leading cleansing efforts, and supporting migration testing. After implementation, you will be committed to continuously improving data quality by implementing and executing Data Governance processes for the Customer Data Domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain data and metadata according to data quality, compliance, and data privacy standards.
  • Govern and facilitate data sharing by ensuring consent conformity and/or using techniques like data masking or anonymization.
  • Support the implementation of customer data handling solutions along the existing data landscape.
  • Be a consulting expert for customer data sources, structures, hierarchies, and definitions.
  • Maintain Customer Master Data Management rules (MDM) and align them with the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) business rules, as well as manage local dashboarding solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field, ideally with experience in data analysis.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in customer and/or sales management, including system experience (i.e., Salesforce, SAP, EDI) for B2B and B2C data practices.
  • Demonstrated working experience with customer management systems or supporting sales and marketing tools with customer data structures.
  • Expert in working with referential data and data catalogues and experienced in working with concepts for modeling relational databases.
  • Business fluent English and German in speech and writing.
