Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration of current and upcoming European and national sustainability regulations into biomass sourcing and trading initiatives with a commercial perspective.
  • Oversee the implementation and compliance monitoring of biomass sustainability regulations in accordance with European and national laws.
  • Contribute to project teams by providing strategic and commercial insights on biomass sustainability requirements for Uniper's initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external experts in legislation and regulation to ensure Uniper's biomass projects adhere to the latest guidelines.
  • Regularly conduct information sessions and meetings, as well as prepare reports on the status and anticipated changes in legislation and regulations.
  • Work alongside traders and deal execution teams to manage certification and supply chain obligations.
  • Represent Uniper at national and international biomass forums and industry events.

Your Profile

  • Possesses over 5 years of experience and knowledge of regulations and sustainability aspects at both central and local levels.
  • Demonstrates extensive familiarity with certification systems and processes such as FSC, SBP, and PEFC.
  • Holds an established network of regulatory knowledge consultants and lobbying organizations.
  • Exhibits exceptional relationship management and influencing skills, capable of fostering effective collaborations with Uniper and external teams.
  • Displays strong planning and organizational abilities, with a focus on long-term strategic resource management.
