Job Title: Localization Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Localization Associate to join our team at PeopleCert. As a Localization Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing translation projects from start to finish, coordinating with external Language Service Providers (LSPs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure high-quality translations for our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage translation projects in our Translation Management System (TMS)
  • Coordinate the translation of all content, including text, images, and multimedia files
  • Perform alignments of files, maintain memories, and prepare files for translation
  • Onboard new suppliers and manage existing ones
  • Participate in suppliers' briefings and ensure quality checks are performed on translated materials
  • Provide feedback to the Team Manager and relevant stakeholders on any issues that arise
  • Ensure administrative tasks are carried out accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a translation or localization project manager in the LSP industry
  • Translator qualification or MSc in translation studies is an asset
  • Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently to time and budget
  • Good understanding of CAT tools, MT, and TMS (XTM is an asset)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English and German is required (native-like or C2 level certification desired)
  • Knowledge of Best Practice methodologies (PRINCE2, Scrum, ITIL, etc.) is a plus
  • Proficiency in handling files in multiple formats (MS Office, InDesign, etc.) with a particular interest in file engineering
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Able to build successful relationships with external suppliers across the world and ensure tasks are delivered on time
  • Self-starter, proactive, and attention to detail
