HVDC Commissioning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled HVDC Commissioning Specialist to join our team at Quest Global. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the commissioning and testing of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Commission and test HVDC systems, including AC and DC protection systems, to ensure they meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Perform offsite and onsite testing, including factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT), to validate system performance and identify any issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test reports and commissioning records, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including training and mentoring, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to execute projects successfully.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical power distribution systems, substation control and protection, and HVDC commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, including HVDC systems, and industry standards, such as IEC 61850.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certifications, such as SCC (Safety Certificate Contractors) or equivalent international standard.
- Experience with PLC programming languages, such as Simatic, and protection relays, such as DIGSI/Siprotec 4/5.
- Knowledge of substation control and protection systems, including primary and secondary test equipment.
