Job Summary
As the Head of Engineering for HVDC and FACTS Systems, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineering staff in the development and implementation of HVDC and FACTS systems.
About the Role
As a technical leader, you will be responsible for reviewing concepts and test procedures for HMI and IT security upgrades for HVDC and FACTS systems. You will also be responsible for operational planning for engineering, commissioning, and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of an international team of engineering staff
- Review of concepts and test procedures for HMI and IT security upgrades for HVDC and FACTS systems
- Operational planning for engineering, commissioning, and installation
- Processing current inquiries from customers, internal departments, or suppliers
- Advising customers in the area of updates/security refurbishments
- Review and creation of documentation, reports, hardware plans, and software architecture
- Supporting sales with quotation activities through technical knowledge
Requirements
- Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification
- Sound knowledge in the field of C&P
- Many years of experience with FACTS & HVDC systems
- Experience as a group leader with technical and disciplinary responsibility is an advantage
- Intercultural interest and willingness to travel (10-20%)
- Very good knowledge of German and English combined with customer orientation and willingness to perform
