Iron Systems is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our desktop devices, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities:- Manage desktop device incidents through to resolution, utilizing your expertise in hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Provide IMAC and desk-side support services, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
- Support end-user desktops, laptops, network printers, cell phones, and other devices, leveraging your knowledge of Windows 10/11 and other operating systems.
- Utilize SCCM for installation and work with AD and SNOW to ensure efficient support services.
- Manage hard and soft break-fix services for laptops and desktops, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Provide standard and approved hardware and software support and maintenance on desktop devices for their entire lifecycle, including remote management using appropriate tools.
- Analyze Service Desk calls and incident data to identify potential user training requirements and automation opportunities.
- Ensure each desktop device is installed with the appropriate desktop image.
- Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all desktop devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
- Provide VIP support for desk-side issues and serve as the point of contact for all IT-related issues at the site.
- Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 OS.
- Good understanding of AD and smart hands and feet support.
- Experience with Service management tools, such as Service Now.
- Strong expertise in EUC tools, remote support tools, MS Office, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Lync, VPN, and mobile device support.
- Awareness of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request, and related activities like spare and buffer stock management.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a three-year college or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
