Desktop Support Specialist

Job Title: Desktop EUC L2

At Iron Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Desktop EUC L2 to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our desktop devices, ensuring that our users have a seamless and productive experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage desktop devices, including hardware, software, and connectivity, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide expert-level support for Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops, network printers, cell phones, and other devices.
  • Utilize SCCM for installation and have knowledge of AD and SNOW to ensure efficient support services.
  • Manage hard and soft break fix services for laptops and desktops, ensuring that devices are repaired or replaced promptly.
  • Provide standard and approved hardware and software support and maintenance on desktop devices for their entire lifecycle.
  • Analyze Service Desk calls and incident data to identify potential user training requirements and automation opportunities.
  • Ensure that each desktop device is installed with the appropriate desktop image.
  • Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all desktop devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
  • Provide VIP support for desk-side issues and serve as the point of contact for all IT-related issues at the site.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows 7 OS.
  • Good to have: knowledge in AD and smart hands and feet support.
  • Good to have: knowledge and experience of supporting MAC devices and tablets.
  • Experience with Service management tool – e.g., Service Now.
  • Should have good expertise on EUC tools, remote support tools, MS Office, and Outlook.
  • It is preferable to have a good understanding of Lync, VPN, and mobile device support.
  • Should be aware of ITIL process of Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request, and related activities like spare and buffer stock management.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from three-year College or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
