Head of Medical Staffing and Operations

About the Role
Carnival Maritime GmbH, a part of Carnival Corporation and plc, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Head of Medical Staffing and Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our onboard medical centers are staffed with highly qualified medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of medical staff, including doctors, nurses, and healthcare assistants.
- Source and select exceptional healthcare talents to support the medical staffing needs of our company.
- Support high-quality patient care through education of medical staff and conduct clinical, patient complaint, and medico-legal reviews.
- Undertake duties as required, including Health Operations Center (HOC) on-duty support and other specific brand requests related to the scope of the position.
Requirements
- University degree in medicine from a recognized university.
- A Medical License and Registration with a Recognized Body is mandatory.
- Professional experience in the area of maritime medicine, both ship and shore-based.
- Leadership experience in a medical role is required.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards.
- Proficient in Data Privacy, Security, and Integrity.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in independently investigating problems and moving them towards resolution.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Organized/structured work approach, safety-driven with good ethical and value behavior.
- Strong English communication skills, written and oral (English is the official company language).
