About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Aerodynamics Intern/Working Student to join our team. As an Aerodynamics Intern/Working Student, you will be responsible for defining requirements for cluster computation, developing a basic aerodynamic setup in OpenFoam, conducting CFD calculations of sub-, trans-, and hypersonic external flows, conducting internal CFD calculations including sloshing, and optimizing the computation workflow.
Responsibilities
- Defining requirements for cluster computation
- Development of a basic aerodynamic setup in OpenFoam
- Conduction of CFD calculations of sub-, trans-, and hypersonic external flows
- Conduction of internal CFD calculations including sloshing
- Optimization of the computation workflow
Requirements
- Current bachelor or master student in aerospace engineering or simulation technology
- Previous experience in CFD and aerodynamic courses
- Good understanding of mathematical and physical modeling of fluids including numerical methods
- Experience in OpenFOAM, C++, Python, Matlab, and cluster calculation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-study experience
- Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
