Main Responsibilities- Support and interact with a multi-disciplinary development team to bring together all aspects of characterization and improvement of AAV-based viral vectors for gene therapy.
- Perform cell culture of adherent and suspension mammalian cell lines.
- Execute small-scale production and purification of AAV vectors.
- Perform a broad range of analytical assays to characterize AAV vectors.
- Perform molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, sequencing.
- Record, document, and report experimental results and data.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Any "Technical Assistant" according to the German educational system (BTA, CTA, MTA, UTA, MLTA,...).
- Any "Laborant" according to the German educational system (Biologie-Laborant, Chemie-Laborant,...).
- Bachelor of Science with a biological, biotechnological, or (bio-)chemical background.
- Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Basic knowledge of gene therapy, AAV vectors, and their applications.
- Experience with analytical methods such as qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA.
- Experience with adherent and suspension cell culture technology.
- A high level of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail.
- A familiarity with electronic laboratory notebooks.
- A strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
