Product Design Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at NORMA Group. As a Product Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop NORMA Group drawings, including quotations and manufacturing processes.
- Establish and track part numbers, and verify and validate products.
- Define customer-owned interfacing components, such as flanges, spigots, and gaskets.
- Initiate and drive Global Excellence and VA/VE activities to improve cost savings and efficiency.
- Identify and lead innovation projects to drive business growth.
- Conduct technical competitor analysis and benchmarking.
- Develop and maintain design guidelines and conduct product training.
- Process customer inquiries and projects, including daily business activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Several years of experience in product design, preferably in a similar function.
- Proven track record of leading projects from customer request to series production.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken; German is an asset.
- Able to establish and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships.
- Proficient in designing efficient processes and products.
- Motivated team player with a can-do attitude and ability to identify new opportunities.
