About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at NORMA Group. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop NORMA Group products, including drawings, part numbers, and product verification and validation processes.
- Establish and maintain Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes.
- Define customer-owned interfacing components and initiate Global Excellence and Value Added/Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities.
- Identify, communicate, and lead innovation projects to drive business growth and improvement.
- Conduct technical competitor analysis and develop design guidelines and product training programs.
- Process customer inquiries and projects, and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience in product design and development, with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Fluent English and German language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Proficient in designing efficient processes and products, with a strong understanding of design for manufacturability and failure mode and effects analysis.
