About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer to join our team at NORMA Group. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop NORMA Group products, including drawings, part numbers, and product verification and validation processes.
- Establish and maintain Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes.
- Define customer-owned interfacing components and initiate Global Excellence and Value Added/Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities.
- Identify and lead innovation projects, and develop and maintain design guidelines and product training programs.
- Accountable for processing customer inquiries and projects, and develop and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Several years of experience in product design and development, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
- Proven track record of leading projects from customer request to series production.
- Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken; German language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships.
- Proficient in designing efficient processes and products.
