About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our Amazon Logistik AF Muenchen GmbH - D93 team in Munich, Germany. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the smooth operation of our logistics processes, focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: Manage a team of logistics professionals to achieve operational excellence, ensuring that our customers receive their orders on time and with high quality.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Analyze and implement changes to optimize productivity, quality, and safety within our operations, leveraging data and anecdotal evidence to inform business decisions.
  • Oversee Projects and Initiatives: Lead projects to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction, working collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices.
  • Analyze and Improve Shift Performance: Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing actions to enhance operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with management-level colleagues to drive business growth, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on leading a high-performing team, driving process improvements, and overseeing projects and initiatives. You will be responsible for owning and driving a culture of safety, upholding quality and shift performance standards, and mentoring new managers.

Requirements
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in people management, logistics, and supply chain management, with a proven track record of driving process improvements and leading high-performing teams.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in local language.
  • Technical Skills: Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions and working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
