Packaging Innovation Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Development Engineer to join our team at Dr. Oetker. As a key member of our packaging development team, you will be responsible for developing and evaluating sustainable and economical packaging solutions that meet quality, trade, consumer, legal, and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate packaging solutions that meet our sustainability goals and quality standards.
  • Optimize existing packaging to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Identify opportunities for harmonization and standardization across locations for packaging materials and formats.
  • Coordinate development projects with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor international packaging concepts and coordinate packaging-related issues.
  • Support production tests with new packaging materials or material alternatives and develop quality standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in packaging technology or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in handling flexible and dimensionally stable packaging materials.
  • Extensive project management experience.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and common MS Office programs.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Remarkable organizational skills with analytical and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
