Job Title: Packaging Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Development Engineer to join our team in Bielefeld, Germany. As a key member of our packaging development team, you will be responsible for the development and evaluation of sustainable and economical packaging solutions that meet quality, trade, consumer, legal, and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and evaluate sustainable packaging solutions that meet quality, trade, consumer, legal, and environmental requirements.
  • Optimize existing packaging solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Identify opportunities for harmonization and standardization across locations for packaging materials and formats.
  • Coordinate development projects in the packaging materials and packaging technology sector.
  • Manage and monitor international packaging concepts and coordinate packaging-related issues.
  • Support plants in production tests with new packaging materials or material alternatives and develop quality standards.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in packaging technology, packaging development, or a related field.
  • Several years of professional experience in handling flexible and dimensionally stable packaging materials.
  • Extensive project management experience.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and common MS Office programs.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Remarkable organizational skills with a structured and independent way of working.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
