Packaging Development Lead

At the Oetker Group, we're committed to innovation and sustainability. As a Packaging Development Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping our international strategy and achieving our ambitious sustainability goals.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate sustainable packaging solutions that meet quality, trade, consumer, legal, and environmental requirements.
  • Optimize existing packaging and identify opportunities for harmonization and standardization across locations.
  • Coordinate development projects in packaging materials and packaging technology, staying up-to-date with market trends and adhering to the Dr. Oetker Sustainability Charter.
  • Manage and monitor international packaging concepts, coordinating and assisting with packaging-related issues.
  • Support plants in production tests with new packaging materials or material alternatives, establishing necessary quality standards.

What You Bring

  • A degree in packaging technology or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in handling flexible and dimensionally stable packaging materials, with extensive project management experience.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and common MS Office programs.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, enabling you to lead and work in international and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Remarkable organizational skills, with a structured and independent way of working, characterized by analytical and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Creativity, initiative, and assertiveness.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills, with a willingness to travel internationally.
