Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain quantitative models for power trading, including fundamental and econometric models.
- Collaborate closely with traders and analysts to identify and develop price forecasting models relevant for commercial decision making.
- Leverage coding skills to develop efficient models and automate workflows.
- Compile time series data for model inputs and automate model result processing.
- Work closely with our IT and Quant departments to develop and implement new tools and technologies.
- University degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, engineering, economics, or data science.
- Significant experience in market analysis from an energy trading background.
- Expertise in econometric and fundamental modelling, preferably in a European context.
- Strong understanding of power market concepts, including security-constrained economic dispatch and nodal/zonal price formation.
- Proficiency in mathematical modelling languages, such as GAMS, Python, or Julia, and familiarity with databases, including SQL and PostgreSQL.
