Job Title: Market Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Analyst to join our team in Essen. As a Market Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering analysis of the price and fundamental development of the global commodity markets, assessing possible future movements of price levels and spreads in the European commodity markets.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver in-depth analysis of market trends and developments
  • Collaborate with Trading & Origination and Portfolio functions on commercial strategies
  • Provide market analysis for assets or structured transactions through scenario analysis
  • Analyse energy market data to identify trading opportunities
  • Support the build and further maturity of a large, international energy customer portfolio
  • Develop and maintain trading models and strategies
  • Prepare and present reports on trading performance and market analysis
Your Profile:
  • University degree or comparable qualification
  • Proven experience in the European energy markets
  • Strong commercial mindset and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in English, with another European language a plus
