About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Gas Analyst to join our US Gas & Power Desk at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our US national and regional natural gas S&D models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze fundamental drivers for regional US markets
  • Develop accurate and stable analysis tools to transform fundamentals into market relevant signals
  • Follow relevant news and market design proposals, assessing their impact on US commodity prices
  • Work with external data providers and internal interfaces to ensure efficient processing of market information
  • Conduct statistical and quantitative analysis on large data sets, exploring alternative trading strategies
  • Communicate your fundamental and market view to the team
Requirements
  • University degree in a numerical and analytical field
  • 3+ years of experience in natural gas markets, including building gas balances and modeling S&D components
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience working with large data sets and modeling fundamental market drivers
  • Experience with Python in a professional context
  • Self-directed and structured working style, with the ability to innovate and prioritize analytical tasks
