We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Intuitive Surgical. As a key member of our commercial organization, you will be responsible for selling our da Vinci Surgical Systems to hospitals and healthcare institutions within your assigned territory.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, with a proven track record of success in capital medical equipment sales. You will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders, including surgeons, administrators, and other healthcare professionals, to promote the benefits of our da Vinci Surgical Systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the sales process for da Vinci Surgical Systems, including identifying new business opportunities and developing sales strategies to achieve quarterly targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including surgeons, administrators, and other healthcare professionals, to promote the benefits of our da Vinci Surgical Systems.
- Develop and execute sales plans to drive growth and revenue within your assigned territory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, clinical, and customer support, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
- Provide expert-level knowledge of our da Vinci Surgical Systems and their applications in minimally invasive surgery.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Act as a Medical Device Consultant (Medizinprodukteberater) in Austria and Germany, after appropriate training, as per legal requirement.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years' sales experience, preferably in healthcare or capital sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven successful track record in capital medical equipment sales.
- Ability to travel up to 80%, dependent upon account distribution.
- Fluent in English and local language as required.
