About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Application Engineer to join our team at Infineon Technologies. As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of our industrial power electronics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Win of Mosfets, IGBTs, Diodes, Gate Drivers, IPMs, Discretes, and Power Modules
  • Maximize Future Business by identifying potential sockets and leveraging our wide product portfolio
  • Define New Products and Derivatives in collaboration with customers and internal teams
  • Act as a Technical Interface and consultant to customers, identifying technical experts needed in alignment with the Account Manager
  • Derive Customer Requirements and Market Trends to develop system value propositions with internal interfaces
  • Proactively Manage Projects with the Sales department to achieve Design-Win Targets
  • Establish and Maintain Relationships with technical decision makers at customers and internally
  • Perform Measurements in our lab for actual and potential projects
  • Support Distribution Partners during FAE trainings and end-customer seminars
Requirements
  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field of studies
  • 3-5 Years of Professional Experience as a Field Application Engineer or Design Engineer in power electronics, with focus on selection and design of IGBTs, MOSFETs, Power modules, and control and protection circuits
  • Practical Lab Experience in thermal or EMC design, layout, and simulations
  • Project Management Skills and self-motivated follow-up on action items
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English; German, Spanish, French as a plus
