Job Description

As a Field Application Engineer - Industrial Power Electronics, you will be the primary interface between customers, technical marketing, and application engineering for the EMEA region. Your role will be to drive business growth and customer satisfaction by providing technical expertise and support in the area of industrial power electronics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design In / Win of power electronics components, including MOSFETs, IGBTs, power modules, and gate drivers.
  • Maximize future business for Infineon products by identifying potential sockets and leveraging the company's wide product portfolio.
  • Define new products and derivatives in close cooperation with customers and internal technical marketing and applications teams.
  • Act as a technical interface and consultant to customers, identifying further technical experts needed in alignment with the account manager.
  • Derive customer requirements and market trends to develop system value propositions with internal interfaces.
  • Proactively manage projects with the sales department to achieve design-win targets.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with technical decision-makers at customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform measurements in the lab within the scope of actual projects and potential future projects.
  • Support distribution partners during FAE trainings or end-customer seminars.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of studies.
  • About 3-5 years of professional experience as a Field Application Engineer or Design Engineer in the area of power electronics, with a focus on selection and design of IGBTs, MOSFETs, power modules, and their control and protection circuits.
  • Practical lab experience, thermal or EMC design, layout, and simulations.
  • Project management skills, self-motivated follow-up on action items.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German, Spanish, French as a plus.
